This panel, hosted by Katrina Fox of Vegan Business Media, was a a mini-version of the Plant Powered Women’s Leadership Conference Series, a concept created by Kathy Divine, author and publisher and editor of Australian Vegans. ⠀ ⠀
The project and Kathy’s upcoming book is all about inspiring and encouraging vegan women to become leaders in their communities.
At the panel, Katrina Fox was joined by some terrific women from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences and skill sets, who are doing amazing activism using their unique gifts and talents.
They include: Carly Taylor (animal and environmental activist and social media influencer); Louise Pfeiffer (finance professional and Animal Justice Party candidate for South Australia); Lynda Stoner (CEO of Animal Liberation); Apoorva Madan (vegan psychologist); Aimee Weir (the Vegan Alliance & more). ⠀
Among the topics discussed were: the importance of using your skills and strengths in advocacy, the future of veganism and animal advocacy, the benefits of using social media, mental health in activism, coping with bullying, working with farmers and others towards a plant-based future, the impact of plant-based business on animal advocacy, the importance of political action for systemic change, the importance of media coverage in animal advocacy and much more.⠀
