WEBSITE STUFF
Bluehost
I’ve tried a few web hosting companies over the years. Right now I’m a fan of Bluehost because, in addition to the regular shared hosting offered by others, it offers fast, optimized hosting for WordPress sites at very reasonable prices. Bluehost website
LeadPages
I love the ease of creating landing pages with LeadPages. From opt-in pages to sales pages, webinar sign-up pages, book sale pages, event pages, LP offers a diverse range of templates. The best part is they constantly test and measure and you can choose from the highest-converting templates. It’s not the cheapest option with a monthly fee, but if your business needs to create landing pages, it’s well worth it. LeadPages website
AutoWebLaw
You know those ‘legal’ pages on websites – eg privacy policy, terms and conditions etc? AutoWebLaw provides access for a one-off fee to a wide range of documents prepared by US attorneys, which you fill in the blank with your company name and can also customise. There are also some country-specific documents. While this product doesn’t replace a lawyer drafting these documents, it’s useful for those on a budget. AutoWebLaw website
EMAIL MARKETING
Infusionsoft
This is the piece de resistance of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems. Collect people’s names through your opt-in forms into the Infusionsoft database, create tags and make notes about customers or leads. You can create autoresponder campaigns, set up your own affiliate program as well as use the Infusionsoft shopping cart to sell physical and online products. The downside is its monthly fee may be out of the price range of some small business owners. Infusionsoft website
Send Pepper
Send Pepper is the baby version of Ontraport (Infusionsoft’s major competitor). With a much lower monthly fee (but with far fewer features), it’s a more affordable option for small business owners. Send Pepper website
VIRTUAL STAFF
Virtual Staff Finder
A VA (virtual assistant) can take on many of the administrative and other tasks that consume too much of your precious time. My partner has a full-time VA who works remotely from the Philippines. She does a whole range of tasks from setting up email campaigns, searching for and resizing images, research and even basic video editing. Chris Ducker’s Virtual Staff Finder offers a service where, for a fee, they find candidates for you to interview via Skype, taking the headache out of vetting virtual staff. WRITING & SPEAKING
Best Seller in a Weekend with Alicia Dunams
I did Alicia’s virtual weekend course and it’s perfect for those of you who are keen to write a book but keep putting it off. If you think it takes forever to write a book, think again. Alicia provides not only smart techniques to get you writing, you actually write during the weekend. You also get access to a private Facebook group where you can continue to get help and feedback as your book progresses.

The Business of Speaking with Andrew Griffiths
Andrew Griffiths is an Australian bestselling author and global presenter. Author of over 12 books sold in more than 60 countries, he speaks to large corporations as well as small business groups. His calendar is booked years in advance. I did his one-day Business of Speaking class which focuses specifically on the business side of speaking – ie how to get gigs, what to charge (he’s upfront with his fees), how to put together a speaker’s kit and bio, sample speaking contract and much more. He recorded the live session of this class in Melbourne and combined it with a set of transcripts to produce this excellent online course. The Business of Speaking website
SELF-HELP
Doctorok
FULL DISCLOSURE: This range of instant, downloadable self-help programs involving hypnosis from a naturopathic perspective is by my partner Tracie O’Keefe, a vegan hypnotherapist and naturopath. While I may be biased, I still wouldn’t promote them if I didn’t think them any good. Many of the programs contain a video and comprehensive ebook as well as the audio hypnosis files. Over 80 programs cover a range of issues from stopping procrastination and overcoming anxiety to confidence building and natural eating and vitality through plant-based living.
